OPTIMIZE YOUR DAY WITH MINDFUL HABITS
Our morning routine (or lack thereof) sets the tone for the day. The entire trajectory of the day is determined by how well we wake up. Do you delay waking up at all costs? Is the morning a headlong stumble into the rest of the day? Worse yet, does your brain stay asleep while your body goes about its business?
My theory: How well we sleep at night is determined by how we wake up in the morning.
It’s taken over a decade for me to develop a sustainable sleep routine, but it all started with kicking 3 self-sabotaging morning habits:
-
Hitting the snooze button
-
Reaching for technology
-
Failing to properly fuel
You might not love mornings, but these tactics can make them less challenging for you.
Learn to front-load your day with self-care and high-priority tasks and you’ll reduce the risk of not getting them done later. Plus, the more you pack into your day, the more likely you’ll be to get a good night’s rest. Making good on my theory that how well we sleep at night is determined by how we wake up in the morning.
